Transporting water on most of our trips is necessary. While we typically carry 3L in our packs, we like to have a reserve amount in our bags for cooking and cleaning. A 32oz wide mouth Nalgene bottle is the gold standard of water bottles. And many of the water filter systems available are also compatible with the Nalgene bottle making the process of replenishing your fresh water much easier.
