Twin Air Backfire Air Filter Kit With Cage for the KTM 690 Enduro & Husqvarna 701 Enduro

The Twin Air PowerFlow Air Filter Kit (155510P) is an essential intake upgrade for the KTM 690 Enduro, Husqvarna 701 Enduro, and GasGas ES 700 platforms. The factory OEM setup utilizes a paper element filter housed in a flexible plastic carrier. In severe off-road conditions, this flexible factory cage can warp, allowing fine silt and dust to bypass the filter lip and enter the engine directly, leading to catastrophic valve and piston wear.

This PowerFlow kit entirely replaces the restrictive factory paper filter and carrier. It features a rigid, precision-molded cage that provides a flawless, unyielding clamping surface against the airbox lip. Paired with Twin Air's signature dual-stage polyurethane foam filter, this kit guarantees an airtight seal, maximizes airflow for improved throttle response, and provides the highest level of filtration against microscopic trail dust.

Fitment Notes:

• Pre-Oiling Required: The included foam filter is shipped dry. It must be thoroughly saturated with a high-quality foam filter oil prior to installation.

• Dust Bypass: If you ride a 690, 701, or 700 off-road in dry, dusty conditions, replacing the factory paper filter is highly recommended. The factory paper filter is simply not designed to handle fine silt, and the flexible OEM holder can struggle to maintain a tight seal in tough conditions. This Twin Air kit resolves the single largest weak point in these engines' intake systems with an easily serviceable option.

• Greasing the Rim: Even with the upgraded rigid cage, we highly recommend applying a thin bead of waterproof Twin Air (or similar) rim grease to the flat sealing ring of the foam filter before dropping it into the airbox. This creates an impermeable secondary barrier against microscopic dust and provides absolute peace of mind during multi-day desert rides.
