Awesome saw - if you’re riding in the backcountry, it’s wise to carry one of these.

If you adventure ride in Idaho you know that an surprising amount of trees fall across the trails every year. I recently purchased my Silky Big Boy before heading out on a 5 day trip and a few hours into day one of our ride it came in handy to clear brush next to a land slide so we could pass through.
It only weights a pound and can be the difference between continuing on your ride or turning around. I used a section of intertube to make a sheath for it and it fits perfectly in my Mosko tent pole bag. Whether it's clearing obstacles or cutting up some wood for a fire I am glad to have this tool with me now on rides.
I used a couple different folding saws made by other brands earlier this season and the locking mechanisms failed on both. I am very impressed with the quality of the Silky Saw.

As with most made in Japan items the quality and function are top notch. I use this for minor trail maintenance at a local park to clear out spots to go fishing. Handy to keep in the truck and have with you for sure. It cuts very fast and clean, really impressed overall and glad I stopped wasting money on small hand pruning saws from the store.
