The Renthal Fatbar is an industry-leading, unbraced tapered motocross and off-road handlebar. Engineered with a profiled wall thickness, the Fatbar features an oversized 1-1/8" (28.6mm) clamping diameter that gradually tapers down to a standard 7/8" (22.2mm) diameter at the control ends. This design creates immense structural strength, eliminating the need for a traditional cross brace while allowing for a tuned level of flexibility to absorb harsh impacts and reduce rider fatigue.

The "604" profile—often referred to as the RC (Ricky Carmichael) or Honda CR/CRF bend—is one of the most popular handlebar bends in the industry. It is manufactured from Renthal's exclusive 7010-T6 aluminum alloy, specifically formulated for handlebar construction to limit vibration. The bars are finished with a shot-peened, hard-anodized coating to resist corrosion and feature a knurled clutch-side end to prevent grip slippage under heavy acceleration.

Fitment Notes:

• Clamp Requirement: These handlebars require an oversized 1-1/8" (28.6mm) bar mount. If your motorcycle currently has standard 7/8" handlebars, you must install aftermarket 1-1/8" bar mounts or adapters to fit the Fatbar.

• Bend Profile: The 604 is a highly versatile mid-height bend, originally popularized on Honda CR/CRF and Kawasaki KX/KXF platforms, but works exceptionally well across most enduro and dual-sport setups.

• Torque Specifications: When mounting an aluminum handlebar, it is critical to tighten your upper bar clamps to your motorcycle manufacturer's exact torque specifications. Uneven clamping force or over-torquing can create a stress riser in the aluminum tube, which significantly increases the risk of the handlebar snapping during a crash.

• Knurled End Preparation: The clutch side of this handlebar is aggressively knurled. Before applying grip glue, ensure the knurling is completely free of manufacturing oils by wiping it down with a mild contact cleaner. This guarantees the glue can properly anchor into the textured surface.
