The Renthal Ultralight Rear Sprocket (210U-520-44P-HA) is a premium, high-performance chainwheel engineered to maximize power transfer while drastically reducing rotational unsprung weight. CNC-machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, this sprocket is up to 66% lighter than a comparable OEM steel equivalent.
Unlike standard aluminum sprockets that can wear rapidly, this specific model features a Hard Anodized (HA) surface treatment. This specialized coating creates an exceptionally hard-wearing barrier that resists friction and abrasive wear, significantly extending the lifespan of both the sprocket and your drive chain. Its computer-engineered tooth profile ensures precise concentricity, tight tolerances, and optimal load dispersion under heavy acceleration.
Ultralight Construction: CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, weighing 66% less than traditional steel sprockets to improve suspension responsiveness and acceleration.
Hard Anodized Finish: The deep, hard-anodized surface treatment provides unparalleled resistance to abrasion and increases chainwheel longevity.
Precision Profile: Computer-engineered tooth profiling ensures precise fitment, perfect concentricity, and maximum power transfer to the rear wheel.
Optimized Mass: Engineered with strategic lightening holes to minimize mass without sacrificing structural integrity.
520 Pitch / 44 Tooth: Designed as a direct replacement or a popular 520-pitch conversion size for select street and sport motorcycles.
The 520 Conversion: If you are installing this on a mid-to-large displacement bike like a Tenere 700 that originally came with a heavier 525 chain from the factory, you must replace the entire drivetrain simultaneously. A 520 rear sprocket will not work with a 525 or 530 chain or front sprocket. A full 520 conversion is one of the most effective ways to shave off rotational mass and free up wheel horsepower for track days and canyon carving.
Torque & Threadlocker: Aluminum sprockets are softer at the mounting holes than steel. Always use a high-quality threadlocker like BLUE Stuck Nutz on your sprocket nuts and tighten them in a star pattern to the exact torque specification listed in your motorcycle's service manual. Over-torquing can easily deform the aluminum hub surface.
