Soak the Plates: Before installing any new clutch pack, you must soak the friction plates in the exact same engine oil you plan to run in the motorcycle. Let them soak for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes prior to installation. Installing dry friction plates will cause immediate glazing and premature failure the first time you release the clutch lever under power.
No Sleeves Required: While Rekluse includes steel basket sleeves for many Japanese dirt bikes to prevent the plates from grooving the soft aluminum factory baskets, modern KTM and Husqvarna models feature an ultra-durable steel basket directly from the factory. Therefore, basket sleeves are neither required nor included with this specific part number.
