Rekluse RadiusX Clutch Kit for the Kawasaki KLR 650

The Rekluse RadiusX Auto Clutch Kit (RMS-6347) transforms the power delivery and low-speed handling of the Kawasaki KLR650 by combining two of Rekluse's core technologies: the centrifugal EXP auto-clutch disk and TorqDrive friction plates.

Designed to entirely eliminate engine stalls in technical off-road terrain or heavy stop-and-go traffic, the RadiusX automatically engages and disengages the clutch based on engine RPM. This allows the rider to come to a complete stop in gear without ever touching the clutch lever. Despite the automatic functionality, the system completely retains standard manual clutch lever override, meaning you can still feather the clutch for traction or lofting the front wheel over obstacles. By utilizing TorqDrive technology, the kit fits more friction disks into the exact same OEM footprint, ensuring a higher torque capacity, reduced clutch fade, and a longer overall service life.

Fitment Notes:

• Free Play Gain: The most critical aspect of owning any Rekluse auto clutch is understanding and checking your "Free Play Gain." Because the clutch pack expands mechanically as the engine revs, you must maintain a specific amount of slack in your clutch cable to allow the EXP disk to function. You must check this tension by revving the engine in neutral before every single ride. Failing to maintain proper Free Play Gain will cause the clutch to slip at high RPMs, burning up the friction plates in a matter of miles.
• Feel: Engagement feel is different from stock - Low-RPM engine braking and parking behavior (stopping in gear on slopes) feels different and requires adaptation.
• Short Learning Curve: Some riders note slightly altered clutch feel during street riding until accustomed.
• Basket Sleeves: Do not skip installing the included steel basket sleeves. The KLR650 factory clutch basket is made of relatively soft aluminum. The steel sleeves drop into the fingers of the OEM basket and provide a hardened surface for the TorqDrive plates to slide against, ensuring perfectly smooth engagement and extending the life of your factory basket indefinitely.
