The Polisport Engine Cover Protection Kit (91319) provides an essential layer of armor for the highly vulnerable lower engine cases on the venerable Suzuki DR-Z400 platform. The protruding factory clutch and ignition covers are constantly exposed to rock strikes, trail debris, and severe abrasion from heavy off-road boots. This complete kit acts as a highly durable, sacrificial barrier to prevent ride-ending cracked cases and keep your engine looking pristine.

Manufactured from a highly impact-resistant PA6 polyamide plastic, these covers are engineered to absorb and deflect heavy blows that would otherwise puncture the factory magnesium alloy. What sets the Polisport system apart is the inclusion of strategically placed, high-temperature rubber inserts on the backside of the guards. These inserts act as a shock-absorbing cushion, preventing the rigid plastic from vibrating against the engine block while evenly distributing the force of a hard impact across the entire cover. The kit bolts directly over the factory OEM covers using the supplied extended hardware, requiring no messy oil draining or gasket removal.
