The Parts Unlimited 520 PX Series Drive Chain is a heavy-duty, sealed X-ring chain engineered to deliver maximum wear life and reduced friction for off-road, dual-sport, and middleweight street motorcycles up to 650cc. Operating in abrasive mud, deep sand, and rocky terrain causes unsealed chains to stretch quickly and standard O-rings to create parasitic mechanical drag. The PX Series solves this by utilizing precision-molded quad-lip X-rings that seal factory-injected lubricant inside the pin-bushing junction while halving the contact friction of conventional round O-rings.

Manufactured in Japan, the 520 PX is built with solid bushings, solid rollers, and heat-treated alloy steel link plates that are shot-peened and pre-stretched at the factory to resist initial elongation. Quad-stake pin riveting ensures superior mechanical plate retention and fatigue resistance under high shock-load conditions, yielding a rated tensile strength of 8,500 lbs (37.8 kN). This configuration delivers up to 1.5 times the operational wear life of a standard O-ring chain and up to 12 times the service life of an unsealed drive chain.
