Modern 4-stroke enduro headers run incredibly hot, and the carbon composite material acts as a highly efficient thermal insulator, significantly reducing the surface temperature compared to bare stainless steel. Fitment Notes:

• OEM Header Only: Designed specifically to fit the factory OEM header pipe. Fitment is not guaranteed with aftermarket headers (FMF, Akrapovic, etc.) due to altered routing and tubing diameters.

• The Melted Gear Problem: Enduro boots and expensive over-the-boot waterproof pants are highly susceptible to the intense heat radiating from modern 4-stroke headers. A single tip-over on a steep sidehill or dragging your leg through a deep rut can instantly melt a hole in a $300 pair of riding pants. Because carbon fiber absorbs and transfers heat far slower than metal, this P3 shield pays for itself the very first time you lean against the pipe.

• Installation Tip: When installing the provided hose clamps around the header, leave them slightly loose until you have the carbon shield perfectly aligned along the bend of the pipe. Once properly positioned, tighten them evenly. Check the clamp tension after your first long ride, as the metal clamps will expand slightly during their first major heat cycle and may need a quick turn with a screwdriver to remain snug.
