GEN2F, 2-Pin LED Turn Signal Relay

The GEN2F 2-Pin LED Flasher Relay (RLYG2F) is a direct plug-and-play solution designed to correct hyper-flashing issues when upgrading your motorcycle's factory incandescent turn signals to modern aftermarket LEDs. Because LED indicators draw significantly less power than traditional halogen bulbs, the factory mechanical relay interprets the drop in resistance as a burnt-out bulb, causing the signals to blink rapidly or stay solidly lit.

This solid-state electronic relay bypasses the need to splice bulky, heat-generating ceramic resistors into your motorcycle's delicate wiring harness. It regulates the flash rate internally, restoring a crisp, DOT-compliant blinking speed. Featuring a standardized 2-pin prong design, it drops directly into the OEM relay socket on a wide variety of Japanese and European motorcycles for a seamless, factory-style installation.

Fitment Notes:

• Just One: OnlyONE relay is needed per motorcycle regardless of front and rear signal set-up.

• Connector Check: Before ordering, locate your factory flasher relay (typically under the seat or behind the front headlight cowl) to verify it uses a 2-pin, L-shaped or parallel prong configuration.

• Not for 4-Pin: Will not fit Suzuki or Yamaha models that utilize a proprietary 4-pin or 7-pin relay block without a custom hardwire adapter.

• Relays vs. Resistors: When upgrading to LED turn signals, you have two options to fix the flash rate: wire in load resistors or replace the relay. We always recommend replacing the relay. Load resistors trick the bike into thinking it has halogen bulbs by converting the excess electrical energy into pure heat. They get incredibly hot and can melt adjacent plastic fairings or wire insulation if not mounted perfectly to a metal subframe. The GEN2F relay fixes the issue electronically at the source, creating zero heat and maintaining a perfectly clean wiring harness.

   

• The Hybrid Setup: If you are only upgrading your rear turn signals to LED and keeping the front incandescent bulbs (or vice versa), this relay will still work perfectly. Its solid-state design automatically regulates the flash rate regardless of the mixed power draw on the circuit.
