The Galfer 260mm Front Wave Brake Rotor (DF082W) is a high-performance, direct OEM replacement designed specifically for Honda's modern 450cc dual-sport and enduro platforms. Because the factory Honda CRF450L, RL, and later model X platforms come equipped with a 260mm front rotor from the factory, this disc functions as a direct bolt-on upgrade, requiring no caliper relocation brackets to install.
Manufactured from laser-cut, high-carbon 420 stainless steel, the rotor is heat-treated to resist warping under aggressive braking loads. The disc is then double-disc ground to guarantee perfect parallel flatness, which translates to a smooth, consistent feel at the brake lever. The patented wave design actively sheds heat during heavy use and continually wipes the brake pads clean of mud, water, and trail debris during wet off-road riding.
Direct OEM Size: Matches the factory 260mm diameter of the CRF450L/RL/X platforms for a seamless bolt-on installation with no adapter bracket needed.
Patented Wave Design: Rapidly dissipates heat and continually cleans the pad surface to prevent brake fade and pad glazing.
High-Carbon 420 Stainless Steel: Laser-cut and heat-treated for maximum friction, warp resistance, and longevity compared to standard stamped steel rotors.
Double-Disc Ground: Ensures exact parallel flatness for smooth, consistent braking feedback and maximum pad contact.
Corrosion Resistant: Stainless construction resists rusting when exposed to water crossings and damp storage.
1x Galfer 260mm Front Wave Brake Rotor (DF082W)
(Note: Mounting bolts are not included. Re-use your factory OEM rotor bolts).
Hardware:Retain and re-use the factory hardware when installing. Replace hardware with new hardware if any may be damaged.
Position: Front Wheel.
Bedding-In Process: Installing a new brake rotor without properly bedding in the pads will lead to poor performance and premature wear. We highly recommend installing a fresh set of brake pads anytime you install a new rotor. To bed them in, perform several moderate stops from medium speed, allowing the brakes to cool slightly between stops. This transfers an even layer of friction material from the pad to the new stainless steel rotor.
Installation: When installing a new brake rotor, it is recommended that you apply a drop of medium-strength (blue) STUCK NUTZ Threadlocker to the threads of the small mounting bolts. The heavy, low-frequency vibrations produced by these engines can rattle these small bolts loose over time.
