The Galfer 260mm Floating Wave Front Rotor (DF606FLW) is a premium, direct-replacement brake upgrade designed for a wide range of KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas off-road and motocross motorcycles. Engineered to outperform standard OEM round rotors, the patented inner and outer Wave® design actively dissipates heat, clears mud and water, and prevents brake fade during aggressive riding.
This is a full-floating rotor assembly. The outer braking blade is laser-cut from high-carbon 420 stainless steel and heat-treated to resist warping under extreme thermal loads. It is then double-disc parallel ground to ensure absolute flatness for consistent pad contact. The blade is riveted to a lightweight central aluminum carrier, which allows the outer ring to expand and contract independently as it heats up, preventing the disc from distorting. The aluminum carrier also reduces unsprung weight at the front wheel by approximately 25% compared to a solid steel factory rotor.
Floating Design: Allows the stainless steel braking blade to expand and align dynamically with the brake pads, reducing drag and preventing heat distortion.
Patented Wave® Profile: Actively cools the brake system, clears debris, and equalizes pad wear.
Premium Materials: The friction surface is manufactured from proprietary high-carbon 420 stainless steel for excellent bite and durability.
Weight Reduction: The central aluminum carrier sheds approximately 25% of the weight of a standard OEM solid rotor, improving suspension response and handling.
Precision Machined: Laser-cut and double-disc parallel ground for perfect flatness and a highly predictable brake lever feel.
Direct Replacement: Bolts directly to the factory wheel hub without requiring a caliper relocation bracket.
1x Galfer 260mm Floating Wave Front Rotor (DF606FLW
Position: Front Wheel.
Stock Size: This is the stock 260mm size. No caliper relocation bracket required.
Bedding-In Process: Installing a new brake rotor without properly bedding in the pads will lead to poor performance and premature wear. We highly recommend installing a fresh set of brake pads anytime you install a new rotor. To bed them in, perform several moderate stops from medium speed, allowing the brakes to cool slightly between stops. This transfers an even layer of friction material from the pad to the new stainless steel rotor.
