The FunnelWeb Filter ProLine Pre-Filter Plug Set (FWF-PRO-7337) provides a critical first line of defense for the vulnerable air intake systems on the KTM 790/890 Adventure and Husqvarna Norden 901 platforms. The factory intake snorkels on these models are positioned to ingest massive amounts of rear-wheel dust, quickly overwhelming the expensive OEM paper air filter during off-road rides.

These pre-filter plugs insert directly into the factory intake trumpets, capturing heavy dirt, sand, and debris before it can reach the main airbox. Featuring FunnelWeb's signature pyramid-profile polyurethane foam, they effectively double the exterior surface area of a standard flat foam filter. This unique design allows them to trap significantly more dirt without restricting airflow or starving the engine of oxygen, drastically extending the service life of your primary air filter.

Fitment Notes:

• Trailside Advantage: On a dusty multi-day trip like a BDR (Backcountry Discovery Route), changing or cleaning the main paper air filter or aftermarket foam filter cartridge on a 790/890/901 requires removing the seat, side panels, and fighting with the airbox lid. With these pre-filters installed, you skip that entirely. At the end of a dusty day, you can simply pull these plugs out of the snorkels, wash them out in a Ziploc bag with some filter cleaner, re-oil them, and pop them back in. It saves massive amounts of trail-side maintenance time and protects your expensive OEM paper filter.

• Oiling: Because these pre-filters act as the first barrier against fine silt, they work best with a high-quality foam filter oil. Standard engine oil or light spray lubricants will quickly pool at the bottom of the foam, leaving the top dry and allowing microscopic dust to pass straight through to the airbox. Massage dedicated foam filter oil deeply into the foam, then squeeze out the excess so they are sticky, but not dripping.
