The Brembo PRIME Sinter LA Brake Pads (07BB19.LA) are engineered for heavy adventure (ADV), touring, and street motorcycles requiring reliable performance across mixed surfaces. Utilizing Brembo's advanced sintered compound, the "LA" designation indicates a pad formulated for exceptional durability and consistent heat management. These front brake pads provide predictable stopping power in both wet and dry conditions, making them highly effective whether you are navigating steep off-road descents or logging high-speed highway miles.
Manufactured in Italy, the sintered metallic construction delivers a stable friction coefficient without an overly aggressive initial bite. This smooth, linear engagement is critical for adventure riders, as it makes it much easier to modulate the brakes on loose dirt and gravel, significantly reducing the risk of unexpected front-wheel washouts. Furthermore, the compound is designed to provide this performance without aggressively scoring or wearing down OEM stainless steel brake rotors.
Mixed-Surface Performance: Sintered metallic formulation delivers extreme temperature stability and reliable stopping power on both tarmac and dirt.
Linear Engagement: Provides a smooth, predictable initial bite that allows for precise brake modulation on loose off-road surfaces like gravel and two-track trails.
Extended Longevity: Heavily optimized for high mileage and heavy vehicle loads, making it ideal for long-distance adventure touring with luggage.
All-Weather Reliability: Maintains consistent braking feel in cold, wet, or dry conditions.
Direct Replacement: Manufactured to strict OE dimensions for a perfect, rattle-free fit inside the brake caliper.
Rotor Preparation: Before installing new sintered brake pads, it is important to prep your brake rotors. Use a dedicated contact/brake cleaner and a scuff pad (like Scotch-Brite) to remove old pad material, road grime, and glazing from the rotor surface. Installing new pads on a glazed rotor can drastically reduce braking performance and cause squealing.
The Bed-In Process: New sintered pads perform best when a bed-in process is followed to properly mate the new pads with the rotor surface. Once installed, we like to perform 8 to 10 moderate, controlled stops from roughly 35 mph down to 5 mph on a paved surface. Do not come to a complete stop while holding the brake lever hard, as this can imprint pad material unevenly onto the hot rotor. Allow the brakes to cool as you ride, and avoid aggressive emergency braking for the first 50 miles.
