The Akrapovič Slip-On Line exhaust (Part S-D9SO19-HJAT) for the Ducati DesertX is constructed from a lightweight, high-grade titanium outer sleeve paired with a stainless-steel inner structure and link pipe. The system is finished with a hand-crafted carbon fiber end cap and an entirely redesigned carbon fiber heat shield. This exhaust offers a 33.4% (1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs) weight reduction over the factory muffler while adding a deep, sporty exhaust note.
Designed for straightforward, plug-and-play installation, this slip-on exhaust requires no ECU remapping or tuning. It is fully EC/ECE type-approved for street use. When tested on the Akrapovič in-house dyno, the system provided verifiable peak power gains of 2.4 hp (1.8 kW) at 9,400 rpm and a torque increase of 1.3 lb-ft (1.8 Nm) at 8,100 rpm compared to the stock exhaust. The uniquely designed carbon heat shield specifically protects the passenger and riding gear from exhaust heat during aggressive riding.
