The Acerbis X-Power Engine Guards provide direct, bolt-on protection for the clutch and ignition covers on Yamaha YZ250 and YZ250X two-stroke models. Manufactured from an impact-resistant, high-temperature polymer, these guards are designed to shield the factory aluminum engine cases from rock strikes, trail debris, and direct impacts from the brake or shift levers during a tip-over.
The X-Power guards are engineered to fit directly over the existing OEM engine covers. This overlay design allows for quick installation using the provided extended hardware without the need to drain transmission fluid, remove OEM gaskets, or break the factory fluid seals. Molded openings ensure unobstructed access to the oil fill cap, simplifying routine maintenance.
Impact-Resistant Polymer: Constructed from a heat-resistant plastic designed to absorb trail impacts and shield the factory aluminum engine cases.
Left and Right Coverage: Includes dedicated protective covers for both the ignition/stator side (left) and the clutch side (right).
Overlay Installation: Mounts directly over the exterior of the factory engine covers, eliminating the need to drain oil or remove gaskets during installation.
Abrasion Resistance: Protects the factory finish on the engine covers from boot scuffing and general wear.
Low-Profile Fit: Molded to the specific contours of the Yamaha 250cc two-stroke engine to maintain proper operating clearance for the brake and shift levers, and is fully compatible with Acerbis skid plates.
