Motion Pro Digital 4-Stroke Leak Down Tester

The digital leak down tester for 4-stroke engines from Motion Pro is a diagnostic tool used to assess the internal condition of your four stroke engine. It works by introducing compressed air (from your compressor) into an engine cylinder (usually at top dead center with both valves closed) and then measuring how much of that air leaks out.

Unlike a compression test, which measures the pressure an engine can generate, a leak-down test measures how well the cylinder can hold pressure. By listening for where the escaping air is coming from (e.g., the exhaust, intake, or crankcase), a technician can narrow down the source of the leak.
