Heavy-Duty Compound — The standard version balances grip, durability, and impact resistance for consistent trail performance. A Dakar version is available featuring an ultra-heavy-duty compound and reinforced carcass—offering up to 20% longer life and exceptional puncture resistance.
Deep Knobs and Reversible Tread — Rear tires use a scoop-shaped block with ~13.2 mm lug depth; front tires use a rally-like pattern with ~12 mm depth. Both are reversible for extended tread life.

I’m loving this tire. I put the front on my T7. I decided to change up my front tire from a Motoz dualventure to the Mitas. The reason I went with the mitas up front, is it’s a bit of a softer compound compared to the Motoz. This softer compound gives me a more stable “planted” feeling especially at higher speeds off road. I ride my T7 on just about everything. I rip pavement to get to the trails, ride single track, atv, and 2 track and this tire has been confidence inspiring on all terrain. Recent trip to Utah/Arizona and it offers great handling in sand dunes/washes and fantastic grip on slick rock as well. While you’re not going to get the same performance as a strictly off road tire, this tire feels like a great balance of off-road performance and on road safety for the bikes that get ridden to the trails, or people munching adv miles. In theory a softer compound equals faster wear but I have had this tire a few months and it still looks brand new(granted it’s a front tire). Even if this tire doesn’t last as long as my previous and harder Motoz, the trade in performance is well worth it.
