The Yoshimura RS-12 ADV Slip-On Exhaust (13710BS520) is a premium, USA-manufactured performance upgrade designed specifically for the 2021+ Yamaha Ténéré 700. Developed to give the T7's 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine more grunt and a deeper, unmistakable exhaust note, this system delivers noticeable gains across the entire power spectrum.

The RS-12 features an aggressive, asymmetrical muffler profile that maximizes internal volume. This intelligent design not only manages sound levels effectively but also provides increased clearance for the rear tire and brake caliper during heavy off-road riding. Riders will experience a dyno-proven 3.7% increase in maximum horsepower and a 2.4% boost in peak torque. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel featuring Yoshimura’s exclusive "Works Finish," the exhaust is topped off with a sleek matte carbon fiber end cap. It includes a custom laser-etched stainless steel heel guard and utilizes a patent-pending Precision Taper Fit (PTF) ring for effortless sound insert and spark arrestor removal.

Fitment Notes:

• OEM Integration: Designed to bolt directly onto the factory Yamaha header pipe, retaining the OEM catalytic converter for street-legal compliance.

• Aftermarket Headers: We have had success with this slip-on mounting to aftermarket headers from Akrapovic, LeoVince, HP Corse etc. 

• Works Finish Care: The Yoshimura "Works Finish" is a unique surface treatment that undergoes a distinctive color change after it goes through heat cycles, developing a beautiful bronze patina over time. To maintain this finish and prevent spotting, clean the exhaust with mild soap and water, and occasionally wipe it down with a specialized stainless protectant or WD-40 after washing.

• CP2 Engine Characteristics: The Tenere's CP2 engine is notorious for sounding slightly choked-up from the factory. The RS-12 slip-on unlocks that signature 270-degree crank rumble without being obnoxiously loud on long highway transit sections. Because this is an emissions-compliant slip-on, you get the much improved sound profile, weight savings, and performance gains without dealing with an ECU flash / tune. Although, there is a case for getting a proper tune regardless for the sake of cleaned up throttle response.
