The Galfer 300mm Front Floating Wave® Rotor (DF770FLW) is an excellent replacement rotor for heavy adventure and large-displacement dual-sport motorcycles that demand fade-free, high-performance braking. Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the KTM 690 Enduro, KTM 950/990 Adventure, and Husqvarna 701 platforms, this rotor vastly improves brake torque, lever feel, and modulation.
Manufactured from a proprietary mix of virgin, high-carbon 420 stainless steel, the braking surface is laser-cut and double-disc parallel ground. This manufacturing method ensures perfect flatness, preventing the warping and pulsing common with factory stamped discs. The full-floating design utilizes an aluminum center carrier. This two-piece construction allows the outer stainless steel friction ring to expand freely under extreme thermal loads, ensuring the brake pad-to-rotor contact remains perfectly centered in the caliper during aggressive descents. Furthermore, Galfer's patented wave design constantly clears mud, water, and trail debris while simultaneously drawing cool air across the braking surface.
Full-Floating Design: A two-piece construction with an aluminum center carrier allows the friction ring to expand and self-center under extreme heat, virtually eliminating brake fade and rotor warping.
Patented Wave Profile: Rapidly dissipates heat and continually wipes the brake pads clean of mud, water, and trail debris.
Premium Materials: Laser-cut from a proprietary virgin, high-carbon 420 stainless steel and heat-treated specifically for high-stress adventure riding.
Double-Disc Ground: Ensures exact parallel flatness for a smooth, consistent feel at the brake lever with maximum pad contact.
Direct Bolt-On: Functions as a direct OEM replacement for compatible bikes, requiring no caliper relocation brackets or aftermarket adapters.

(Note: Mounting bolts are not included. Clean and re-use your factory OEM rotor bolts).
Bedding-In Process: Installing a new brake rotor without properly bedding in the pads will lead to poor performance and premature wear. We highly recommend installing a fresh set of brake pads anytime you install a new rotor. To bed them in, perform several moderate stops from medium speed, allowing the brakes to cool slightly between stops. This transfers an even layer of friction material from the pad to the new stainless steel rotor.
