Moose Pro LG Skid Plate for the 2019-2024 Yamaha Tenere 700

The Moose Racing Pro LG Skid Plate is engineered for the Tenere 700 rider who pushes into technical terrain. Unlike standard plates that stop at the frame rails, the "LG" version features an extended rear "tail" specifically designed to shield the rear shock linkage. Constructed from 8mm thick HDPE, this plate absorbs massive impacts without the vibration, ringing, or permanent deformation common with aluminum protection.

Technical Performance

• Integrated Linkage Guard: The extended rear section protects the shock linkage from expensive damage when crossing logs or casing rocks.

• 8mm HDPE Construction: Significantly thicker than standard 6mm plastic plates, this high-density polyethylene is nearly indestructible and slides over obstacles with less friction than metal.

• Quiet-Ride Technology: Plastic does not reflect engine noise back to the rider like aluminum does, providing a much quieter cockpit experience on the highway.

• Impact Memory: Unlike aluminum, which bends and stays bent, HDPE has "memory" and returns to its original shape after a heavy impact.

• Full Wrap-Around Design: Provides excellent coverage for the water pump, engine cases, and frame rails.

• This skid plate is not designed for the Gen 2, 2025+ Tenere 700. We have had positive feedback from customers that were able to cut out a small notch for the new kickstand switch location.
