The Acerbis Skid Plate provides comprehensive, lightweight protection for the engine cases, water pump, and lower frame rails on modern 450cc and 501cc Austrian motorcycles. Manufactured from a highly durable, impact-resistant polymer, this latest generation skid plate features an integrated rear fin designed specifically to shield the vulnerable rear shock linkage from rock strikes while allowing the chassis to glide smoothly over trail obstacles.
Unlike traditional aluminum bash plates, the polymer construction resists permanent deformation, returning to its original shape after heavy impacts. It also significantly reduces engine noise reflection for a quieter ride. Strategic ventilation ports are molded into the base to shed mud, reduce overall weight, and prevent heat buildup around the exhaust.
Integrated Linkage Guard: Features a molded rear fin that extends past the engine to protect the rear shock linkage and facilitate sliding over logs and rocks.
High-Impact Polymer: Absorbs severe trail impacts without permanently denting or bending like aluminum alternatives.
Maximum Coverage: Extended lateral panels shield the water pump, side engine casings, and the frame near the footpegs.
