The price was cheaper than and availability was much easier Nomad. The 4.5 gal size seems to be the sweet spot between 3 and 5.7 gal sizes. The installation was relatively easy. I had a couple of alignment issues and clearance on the ECU but easy fixes. I'm not a fan of the small gap with shrouds to side panels but it's not terrible. There seems to be a lot of empty room between the tank sides and radiators and seems like the radiators are now lacking a bit of bracing. I preferred the design regarding the radiator support and lack of shrouds on the Nomad vs IMS but I guess that's the price difference too. I opted for clear/natural. It doesn't look too big or bulky on the bike. It does feel wider but isn't bad. I'm 52 and not racing or worried about slim bikes anymore. I'm excited about the range it'll provide on dual sport/adventure rides. 4/5 rating just because of the above mentioned things.
