Each tube is packaged in a nitrogen-rich atmosphere to prevent the synthetic rubber from degrading or drying out while sitting on the shelf, ensuring factory-fresh elasticity when you are ready to install it. Depending on the specific rim size, these tubes feature a robust, galvanized straight metal valve stem (either TR-4 or TR-6) with threaded lock nuts for a secure fit on standard motorcycle rims.

• Sizing: Ensure you select the tube size that corresponds with both the diameter of your wheel and the width of your tire.

• The Baby Powder Hack: Avoid installing an inner tube "dry". Before stuffing the tube into the tire carcass, put a handful of standard baby powder (talcum powder) inside a plastic bag with the tube and shake it up. The powder acts as a dry lubricant, allowing the tube to easily unfold and settle evenly inside the tire when inflated, entirely preventing friction chafing and pinch points.

• Why Choose Standard Duty? When building an adventure or off-road bike, it’s tempting to throw 4.0mm ultra-heavy-duty tubes into everything. However, UHD tubes are extremely heavy and add significant rotational mass, which can make the steering on a lightweight dual-sport feel sluggish on the pavement. If you are primarily riding on the street, smooth dirt roads, or commuting, the 1.5mm Standard Duty tube can be a good choice. It keeps your wheels light, dissipates highway heat much better than a thick 4mm tube, and the butyl compound holds set air pressure for a longer period of time than natural rubber.
