The Mitas Enduro Trail+ (Plus) represents the next evolution of the world-famous Mitas E-07+ product line. Designed specifically for modern, heavy adventure motorcycles, this 60/40 tire (60% on-road / 40% off-road) delivers an exceptional balance between highway comfort and rugged off-pavement traction. It is the ideal choice for riders tackling Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDRs) who still need to ride hundreds of pavement miles to reach the trailhead.
The Enduro Trail+ features an aggressive, large-block chevron tread pattern. This rounded profile provides highly predictable cornering stability and water evacuation on the tarmac, while the independent shoulder knobs ensure deep, biting grip when diving into ruts, mud, and loose gravel off-road.
To cater to different riding styles and loads, Mitas offers this tire in two distinct construction variants: Standard and Dakar. The Standard version utilizes a heavy-duty compound optimized for typical ADV speeds and loads. The legendary Dakar version—easily identified by the yellow stripe on the sidewall—features an ultra-heavy-duty reinforced carcass and a harder, longer-wearing rubber compound designed for extreme rock puncture resistance and maximum mileage on transcontinental expeditions.
40/60 Performance: True 40% off-road and 60% street capability, serving as a highly versatile dual-sport option.
Chevron Block Tread: Large, staggered central blocks maintain a smooth highway ride, while aggressive shoulder lugs bite into soft terrain.
Standard vs. Dakar Options: Available in a standard carcass for optimal road comfort, or the yellow-striped "Dakar" version for extreme durability and puncture resistance.
M+S Rated: Mud and Snow classified, ensuring confident performance across a wide variety of unpredictable weather conditions.
High Mileage: Engineered to handle the heavy weight and high horsepower of modern mid-to-large ADV platforms without rapid degradation.
Legacy Design: Officially replaces the popular Mitas E-07+ line, retaining its core DNA with slightly updated road manners and compounds.
Tubeless Compatibility: The Mitas Enduro Trail Plus is approved for Tubeless (TL) applications, but can also be safely run with heavy-duty tubes on tube-type (TT) spoked rims.

I bought three of these tires - two for my tenere 1200, and one rear for my tenere 700. My summer plans changed, so my tire strategy changed as well.
I tested my tire changing kit that I carry on the tenere 700. I had everything that I needed, and the old title was easy off (Dunlop rally raid), and the Mitas went on easily - no pinched tube. Well, almost. On the trip, I can use a rock or log to replace the rubber mallet used to move the axle.
My new plans are to take both bikes to Seattle (my daughter riding one, me on the other) to visit the aerospace museums there. Depending on time, we might hit some some gravel or forest roads. These seem to be a reasonable compromise.
I figure that we will ride 3k miles on this trip - if the tires last that long, I will be happy. Anything beyond that is bonus.
The trip it’s nice to know that if I have a tire issue, I can handle it solo. Good peace of mind.
I’ll update this (if possible) with post-trip information.
