Akrapovic Stainless Steel Header for the 2019–2026 Yamaha Tenere 700

The Akrapovic Stainless Steel Header (E-Y7R3) is an optional exhaust upgrade for the Yamaha Ténéré 700, designed to replace the restrictive factory header and eliminate the heavy OEM catalytic converter. By routing exhaust gases through a wider, unrestrictive path, this header significantly increases exhaust gas velocity, resulting in improved throttle response, increased mid-range torque, and a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note from the CP2 engine.

Manufactured entirely from premium, high-grade stainless steel, the E-Y7R3 features precision, machine-laid TIG welds for a durable, leak-free construction that can withstand the abuse of severe off-road riding. Beyond the performance gains, removing the massive factory catalytic converter sheds a significant amount of weight low down on the chassis and drastically reduces the amount of radiant heat transferred to the rider's lower legs and the motorcycle's shock linkage. This header is designed as a modular component and will bolt directly to your factory OEM muffler, an Akrapovic slip-on or most other aftermarket slip-on mufflers.

Fitment Notes:

• Tune:Installing this header will likely cause the check engine light to appear after identifying a deviation in the stock catalytic converter´s parameters. Remapping the ECU is recommended in order to prevent »check engine light« warning signal and achieve optimized performance and throttle response.

• Off-Road Use Only: Removing the catalytic converter renders the vehicle non-compliant with EPA/CARB street emissions standards. This product is strictly for closed-course competition or off-road use.

• Installation Tip: When installing the new header, do not fully tighten the exhaust flange nuts at the cylinder head until you have the entire system (header and muffler) loosely assembled on the bike. Leaving the system loose allows you to wiggle the pipes into perfect alignment, ensuring there is no binding or stress on the exhaust mounting tabs before you torque everything down.
